Creating shining eyes

Over 13 million people have been inspired by Benjamin Zander's 2008 TED talk about the Transformative Power of Classical Music.

Mr. Zander has spent his life dedicated to Classical music, but it took him much of his career to realize the part he and his orchestra played in creating a transformative experience for listeners. Oftentimes when people don't seem to understand something, we think about what THEY are doing wrong, and we do not reflect on the role we play in their lack of understanding. He contends that perhaps it's not about what THEY (the audience) are doing, but what WE (the orchestra) are doing. 

How are we behaving that is resulting in them having the perspective they have about classical music? "Who am I being that my players' eyes are not shining?
