From 2007-2015 I have served in a variety of leadership capacities for the American Institute of Architects Cleveland Chapter. My first board responsibility was serving as Associate Director from 2007-2008, representing traditionally younger members of the organization who are not registered Architects. During that time I was also responsible for establishing the AIA Cleveland Associates Committee, which is still successfully operating today and provides a huge number of programs for the organization each year. In addition to my board responsibilities for the organization, I have also supported and served as Chair of the organizations main fundraiser, the annual AIA Design Awards. From 2009-2012 I worked to completely restructure the organizations communications process and transitioned the organization from a costly print newsletter, to a more dynamic digital e-newsletter. From 2013-2014 I served as the Director of Camaraderie, responsible for coordinating the organizations monthly networking events with over 10 other design related organizations. In 2014 I also worked to completely re-design and create the AIA Cleveland webpage to better reflect the organizations current tone and focus. I am currently volunteering on the AIA Cleveland Communications Committee as we continue to develop more effective means of communicating with chapter membership and the Cleveland community.
